DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING INTERNSHIP

Our studio is currently seeking an intern for the Fall 2018 semester for all things digital and social media! Candidate MUST be able to receive college credit for the internship, and keep in mind that this is a casual and fun cheer, dance, and fitness environment, not your typical corporate office. However, the internship should be taken seriously, and the position should be treated like any other job.

The prospective intern will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Operations to plan and execute a digital and social media strategy in order to help increase client engagement and visibility for our brand! Schedule will be flexible, with opportunities to work remotely.

Key duties will include:

Assist with streamlining company social media accounts and increasing follower engagement
Engage with potential clients
Monitoring and replying to direct messages from clients (initially under supervision from a Director)
Oversee uploads and management of the company's YouTube page
Maintenance and updating of the company's website and general online presence
Schedule meetings to brainstorm content ideas
Maintain a social media and website calendar
Assist with creating quality video and photo content
Track and report social media and web analytics
Send announcements and e-newsletters using MailChimp
Other duties as needed

Requirements:

Must have basic knowledge of website development and management; familiarity with Wordpress or Wix is a plus
Proficient in social media applications (primarily Instagram and Facebook)
Knowledge of the digital media landscape
Must have evening availability during the weekday and Saturday mornings to capture content at classes
Basic knowledge of photo and video editing
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
Ability to work independently and be productive in your independence

Compensation: Internship Course Credit (required)
